History





PIK Oplenac Winery started its way in 1948 when the company was established for the purchase and sale of alcoholic beverages called Oplenac. With the construction of the new wine cellar, the merger of the Agricultural good Oplenac, and business operations within the company Navip Oplenac the winery had 700 Ha of land in its possesion, and by the beginning of 90s it found itself with its capacity and quality at the very top of the former market of Yugoslavia with a wide range of distinctive products such as:
Rajnski rizling (eng. Rhenish Riesling), Zlatna Oplenka (eng. Golden Oplenka), Oplenacki crni biser (eng. Oplenac’s Black Pearl), Crni burgundac (eng. Black Burgundy), Smederevka, Leoni…

By the Contract which was concluded in mid-2014, PIK Oplenac became private property. Following world trends in winemaking, the current owner turned to high standards of production, relying on experience, tradition and culture of Oplenac area, and combining them with the latest technology of French and Italian producers. The winery is headed towards a clear goal, which is the production of top-quality wine that carries the seal of the region from which it comes.
